What about Me? I’m a Mom, a knitter, and code/tool oriented web designer.
What does that mean? I know how to code from scratch, and I find most people can use CMS, blogging and web based tools to update their own sites. I like to make that tool customized to meet their needs.
Web Design
I work independently and with other IT professionals to help clients design, or re-design their web site either with static HTML and CSS (for style) or a database driven software tool (e.g. Drupal or Word Press) to allow clients to manage their existing web pages and update their pages on the fly.

This is a group of dedicated groups and individuals working toward: Improved Cooking Stoves for refugees and people in developing countries, Gasifiers that make energy from Biomass and Terra Preta which uses charcoal to improve soils. This is a family of four web sites that all use the same Drupal installation to manage the code base. This site regularly pushes me to the explore the boundaries of can and cannot be done with Drupal driven sites.
1998 - 2003 Internet Support Specialist for EasyStreet Online Services and a webmaster for their Customer Support web pages.
Working with an Internet Company, helping people fix problems with their web sites and internet access gave me a lot of insight into the types of problems people have with their sites, how to fix them and how to work with Internet companies to make sites better.
